Radagast of Rhosgobel might be one of the most ridiculous new build-around cards from Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit. Today we’re taking him into MTG Arena Standard Best-of-One with Selesnya Legends!
Radagast reduces the first creature spell we cast each turn by 2 mana and lets us cast it with flash, completely changing how this deck gets to play.
Then things get really interesting.
Pair Radagast with Serah Farron for even more legendary cost reduction, and cards like Mutagen Man, Living Ooze and Dyadrine, Synthesis Amalgam can take advantage of their X costs while becoming dramatically cheaper to cast.
We also have Key to the Side-Door, another new card from The Hobbit, giving the deck an excellent way to turn redundant legendary creatures into fresh cards.

💧 Venat, Heart of Hydaelyn — card advantage with removal attached
🕷️ Spectacular Spider-Man / Zack Fair — protection for our legends
🐊 Leatherhead — pressure with additional interaction
🧪 The Ooze — graveyard control that still contributes to our counter plan
💥 Erode / Sheltered by Ghosts — efficient interaction
This is essentially Selesnya Legends Aggro with a flash/value engine hiding underneath it, and some of the turns Radagast creates are absolutely wild.
