Jeskai Artifacts just reached #1 Mythic in MTG Arena Standard BO1 — and after taking it from Diamond 3 to Diamond 2 myself, I can see why.
This Simulacrum Synthesizer deck has become one of my favorite choices for climbing the Standard Best-of-One ladder. United Battlefront lets us stack multiple copies of Simulacrum Synthesizer incredibly quickly, while Repurposing Bay gives the deck both consistency and a full artifact toolbox.
I actually came to this deck from the other side.
While playing Mono-White Auras, Pinnacle Starcage was one of the cards I absolutely hated seeing. Eventually the answer became pretty obvious:
If you can’t beat them… join them.
Between Perilous Snare, Pinnacle Starcage and Spring-Loaded Sawblades, Jeskai Artifacts has excellent interaction while still building toward an overwhelming Synthesizer end game. Repurposing Bay can tutor the pieces we need directly into play, including The Fire Crystal when we want access to another powerful finishing line.
Gapek recently piloted this archetype to Mythic #1, and with the new ranked season underway I wanted to showcase what I believe is one of the best-positioned BO1 decks for climbing right now.
We’re currently moving through Diamond, going from Diamond 3 → Diamond 2 in today’s games. Once we hit Mythic we’ll get back into some more original brews before turning the competitive dial back up toward the end of the season.
