This New Superfriends Deck Beat a Top 100 Mythic Player! | MTG Arena

We just BEAT the #76 Mythic player with an original Azorius Superfriends deck in MTG Arena Standard!

Today we’re combining planeswalkers, creature tokens, and a powerful life-gain engine to create an entirely new Azorius strategy.

The centerpiece is Way of the Mentor, which adds loyalty counters to EVERY planeswalker we control whenever we gain life!

With Liliana the Faultless, Elspeth, Storm Slayer, and The Theorist, Jace Beleren, we’re building an army of tokens while accelerating our planeswalkers toward their most powerful abilities.

Gideon’s Memorial helps ramp into our planeswalkers while giving our creature tokens extra power and vigilance. Meanwhile, Chandra, Chill of Compliance provides mana acceleration and card advantage.

And things get even crazier with Sphinx of False Conclusions, which can return as a token after dying. With Elspeth doubling our token production, we can potentially create TWO Sphinx copies!

Of course, we’re also packing Erode, Get Lost, Settle the Wreckage, and graveyard hate to survive against competitive Standard decks.

Can an original Azorius Superfriends deck compete with the best players on the Mythic ladder? Today, we find out!
