In this MTG Arena Edge of Eternities draft, we kicked things off with a Sunstar Chaplain—not a bomb rare, but the kind of reliable card that makes for a safe first pick, slotting smoothly into just about any white strategy. Following it up with a Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist, we started leaning toward Orzhov, picking up pieces that offered a balance of aggression and value. It wasn’t the flashiest start, but it gave us a direction.
The real highlight of the draft came in pack 2, where we opened a Mythic rare that made us do a double take: Strip Mine. While it isn’t the kind of splashy win condition you usually hope to see at Mythic, it’s an iconic, high-value card that felt like a special pickup for the collection. From there, the deck came together as a solid Orzhov build—nothing overly broken, but with plenty of synergy and an overall high floor in terms of card quality. The result was a draft that might not have blown anyone away with raw power, but proved that sometimes consistency and steady value are enough to carry you through tough games.
