This MTG Arena draft started out with promise when we opened a Rust Harvester, but things quickly got tricky as red dried up in the packs that followed. Staying flexible, we pivoted toward black, white, and green, where the stronger options began to appear. The end result was an Orzhov aggro deck—solid on paper, but clearly missing a few of the key tools that make the archetype shine.
Unfortunately, the games themselves didn’t go much smoother. Between shaky mulligans and some back-breaking bad draws, this draft became more of a grind than a showcase of synergy. Still, there’s a lot to learn from where the picks went right, where the deck could have been stronger, and how to navigate when your draft lane feels like it’s closing around you. Join me for a ride through one of the bumpier Arena drafts in recent memory, full of close calls, questionable luck, and lessons for next time.
