Baron Helmut Zemo is casting Doomsday Excruciator for free in this Mythic-ranked Mono-Black Combo deck for MTG Arena Standard!

The plan is to fill our graveyard with expensive black spells, activate Baron Zemo’s boast ability and cast up to three copied spells without paying their mana costs. Our biggest target is Doomsday Excruciator, which reduces both players’ libraries to only six cards.

From there, Super-Skrull can force the opponent to draw, while Restless Reef mills away the remaining library. We can also copy Pox Plague and devastate their life total, hand and battlefield—all from the graveyard.

Overlord of the Balemurk, Lluwen, Imperfect Naturalist, Bitter Triumph and Zemo’s connive ability load the graveyard. Archenemy’s Charm and our recursion effects help recover Zemo when the opponent removes him, while Moonshadow turns all that self-mill into another powerful threat.

This deck combines Mono-Black devotion, self-mill, recursion and an explosive Doomsday combo—all tested in Mythic Best-of-One Standard.
