Bilbo’s Gambit just gave Azorius Tempo another way to completely shut down our opponent’s turn! 🧙‍♂️

We’re kicking off the new MTG Arena season back in Platinum with an established Azorius High Noon Tempo shell — but The Hobbit added one new card that fits this strategy perfectly.

Bilbo’s Gambit can return a spell to our opponent’s hand and, when we promise the Treasure, prevent players from casting any more spells that turn. Pair that with High Noon, Voice of Victory, Jennifer Walters and all of our flash interaction and this deck can make it incredibly difficult for the opponent to ever play a normal turn.

Aang, Swift Savior and Aven Interrupter give us more flash interaction and airbending, while Floodpits Drowner helps control creatures and reset important threats. Avatar’s Wrath gives us a powerful reset button, Skycoach Conductor supplies bodies, and Enduring Curiosity keeps the cards flowing.

It’s the Azorius Tempo deck we already know — with one very annoying new Hobbit trick.
