Esper Control Has an Answer for EVERYTHING | Top 250 Mythic MTG Arena

I built Esper Control specifically to attack the MTG Arena Standard Best-of-One meta — and we piloted it into the Top 250 Mythic ranks.

Reanimator? Soul-Guide Lantern.
Kona Combo? Nowhere to Run.
Artifacts? Ultima.
Auras? Nowhere to Run.
Aggro & Landfall? Settle the Wreckage, Deadly Cover-Up and Ultima.
Everything else? Counter it, kill it, exile it or draw into the answer.

The strength of this Esper Control deck is how much of our interaction overlaps across matchups. We aren’t filling the deck with narrow answers that are completely dead elsewhere — we’re trying to cover as much of the current Standard field as possible while still having enough card advantage and late-game threats to actually close the game.

Spell Snare and No More Lies keep important spells off the stack, while Consult the Star Charts and Stock Up help us identify the matchup and dig toward whatever answer we need.

Marang River Regent, Deceit, Beza, Wan Shi Tong, Elspeth and Liliana give us the value and win conditions to take over once we’ve exhausted the opponent’s resources.
