Edit: I forgot to mention Strangle which is another option for removal in the Fiery Impulse/ Lightning Axe slot but I really value the interaction being instant speed to be able to stop combo creatures like Ominous Traveler and Greasefang.

This is the second installment in the Under The Meta series where I cover some of the decks that have potential but aren’t quite able to compete at the top tier and look at their weaknesses and how they can be improved. This time I’m going over Temur Phoenix which splashes green for Perilous Iteration to tutor and discard Arclight Phoenix, and Cindervines which gives you an out to Rest in Peace and other enchantments.
