Head of the Hunt turns Dimir Flash into a removal-fueled Wolf factory in MTG Arena Standard! We took this deck on a 4-0 run through Top 100 Mythic and climbed back into the TOP 50.
This Standard Best-of-One Dimir Tempo deck plays almost entirely at instant speed. The new Head of the Hunt gives our removal an additional payoff, turning opposing creatures into 2/2 Wolf tokens while we continue holding up interaction.
Bitterbloom Bearer keeps adding evasive bodies to the battlefield, Enduring Curiosity turns those creatures into card advantage, and Brineborn Cutthroat rewards us for doing what the deck already wants to do — playing on our opponent’s turn.
The important part is managing your interaction correctly:
⚡ Prioritize counterspells on noncreature spells whenever possible
🐺 Let your removal handle creatures and generate additional value with Head of the Hunt
🧚 Build your battlefield with Bitterbloom Bearer without tapping out
📚 Use Enduring Curiosity to turn your token army into sustained card advantage
🔵 Grow Brineborn Cutthroat while playing almost entirely at instant speed
🏆 Four straight wins took us from Top 100 back into the Top 50 Mythic ranks
This is Flash Bang — Dimir Tempo built to make the opponent play on OUR terms.
