Specialize is a mechanic introduced in Alchemy Horizons: Baldur’s Gate that will be replacing the Background mechanic introduced in Commander Legends 2: Battle for Baldur’s Gate. The mechanic has some interesting implications, but the cognitive load involved in managing it will likely prove problematic. In essence, they’re introducing six-sided cards.
