Heartwood Crafter + Draconic Visitor turns Gruul ramp into a 5/5 Dragon factory in MTG Arena Standard! Today we’re testing this brand-new FRA Early Access deck and seeing just how explosive the new token engine can get.

Heartwood gives this Gruul deck a really interesting progression: use the early token generation to accelerate our game plan, land Draconic Visitor, and suddenly our token production starts creating 5/5 red Dragon creature tokens with flying instead.

We’re backing that engine up with Llanowar Elves for acceleration, Samut, Hazoret’s Champion for haste, Outcaster Trailblazer for additional ramp/value, and cards like Roxanne, Starfall Savant, Hungering Puppetbeast and Mutagen Man to take advantage of the deck’s token synergies.
